MI Radio: Brian Hatfield Named OM For MacDonald Cluster

MacDonald Broadcasting has announced veteran radio programmer Brian Hatfield has been appointed Operations Director for its cluster in Saginaw, MI.

He also becomes Program Director for Country WKCQ 98-KCQ, while overseeing operations of Adult Hits WMJO 97.3 FM and AC simulcast partners WSAM 1400 AM / 104.1 FM The Bay.  Most recently, he headed Hatfield Media and was National Sales Director for the Radiomax mobile app.

Hatfield previously served as Assistant PD/MD and afternoon talent at Country KYGO-FM/Denver. Prior to that, Hatfield was Music Director and afternoon host at KCYY-FM/San Antonio. He also spent nine years with Clear Channel's Country WKSF-FM/Asheville, NC. Hatfield has also worked for WKKT and WSOC/Charlotte, WYCD/Detroit, KKAT/Salt Lake City and WTQR/Greensboro.

During his career, Hatfield has won CMA Station of the Year 2009 and Country Radio Broadcasters/Country Aircheck Music Director of the Year 2010 and 2011.

Hatfield replaces Greg Cole, who held the post since 2011.
