Philly Radio: Chris Stigall OUT At Talk WPHT

Chris Stigall
Entercom's Talk WPHT 1210 AM has decided to not renew the contract for morning host Chris Stigall.

His last broadcast was yesterday.  He wasn't on-air today and his name and other references have been scribbed from the WPHT website.

Stigall had been on WPHT since 2010. The conservative talk show host was at the helm of 1210AM’s popular 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. weekday slot since 2010, when he came to Philadelphia from Kansas City.

No word on a replacement.  And now word from Stigall concerning his next move.

Before arriving in Philadelphia, Stigall hosted The KCMO-AM Morning Show in the Kansas City market from 2006 till 2010.

Stigall confirmed his departure to the Inquirer  in an email, noting that he and the Entercom-owned station ended their relationship “on good terms.” An Entercom spokesperson did not respond to request for comment.

“I hope you’ll continue to support my friends at Talk Radio 1210 WPHT,” Stigall wrote. “It’s full of good people who work very hard to keep you entertained and informed. It’s a valuable and necessary resource in the city of Philadelphia.”

Stigall told the Inquirer in a statement that after nearly a decade in town, he has found that “Philadelphia is unlike any other city in the country.”

“The passion, grit, and loyalty is unrivaled,” Stigall said. “You truly have to live here and live in it to ‘get it,’ and thanks to you welcoming me in as you have, I’ll ‘get it’ forever.’”

  2. Enjoyed the show sorry to hear he is leaving. It seems that the media is against the speech American People want to hear. You need a special kind of makeup to listen to the liberal media with their hairbrained ideas and ideaolgy that most American People can see right through because their agenda doesn't support the citizens that live, work, and strive to earn a living and feed their families while democrats continue to want totake their money through taxes and high cost health care. They have a passion in thinking that what you earn to get ahead belongs to them so they can distribute it to others while keeping their own nestegg. Stigall at least exposed a lot of these greedy democrats and how their votes disagreed with American citizens.
