NBC Sports Super Bowl Coverage Plans Announced


NBC Sports Group’s broadcast, cable, digital, and radio platforms will present nearly 100 hours of coverage on-site from SUPER BOWL LII, with PFT Live, The Dan Patrick Show, NHL Live and NBC Sports Radio all originating from Minneapolis, Minn., in the week leading up to the game.

Daily live coverage on NBCSN begins Monday, Jan. 29, with PFT Live from Mall of America at 7 a.m. ET, followed by The Dan Patrick Show at 9 a.m. ET. NHL Live, NBC Sports Group’s pre- and post-game studio show, will originate on-site from Nicollet Mall in Minneapolis for four consecutive nights, beginning Tuesday, Jan. 30, and will include pre-game coverage of the Vegas Golden Knights at the Minnesota Wild on Friday, Feb. 2, from Xcel Energy Center. Former NFL linebacker and current CNBC host Dhani Jones will also conduct live reports on Morning Drive from Minneapolis during Super Bowl week.

In addition, NBC Sports Radio will provide daily, comprehensive coverage of Super Bowl LII live from “Radio Row” from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. ET, featuring nearly 60 hours of coverage leading into the game.

NBC & NBCSN TO PRESENT SUPER BOWL-THEMED SHOWS: NBC and NBCSN will present three Super Bowl-themed special edition shows the week of Super Bowl LII. On Monday, Jan. 29, NBCSN will air NFL Super Bowl Opening Night at 8 p.m. ET. The annual NFL Honors show will air on NBC on Saturday, Feb. 3, at 9 p.m. ET, following an NFL Honors pre-show at 3:30 p.m. ET on NBC.

THE DAN PATRICK SHOW: NBCSN’s sports television show and syndicated radio program, The Dan Patrick Show, featuring Football Night in America host Dan Patrick and the Danettes, will travel to Minneapolis to present six days of on-site shows.

The Dan Patrick Show will originate from a specially-designed set from downtown Minneapolis overlooking U.S. Bank Stadium from Monday through Friday (Jan. 29–Feb. 2), as well as Monday, Feb. 5. The Super Bowl week shows will feature live interviews with current and former players, celebrities, and news makers.

PFT LIVE: NBCSN’s PFT Live will hit the road during Super Bowl week, as a many of NBC’s NFL commentators join hosts Mike Florio and Chris Simms on Radio Row at Mall of America to provide insight and analysis on-site in Minneapolis throughout the week leading up to Super Bowl LII.

PFT Live will simulcast Monday through Friday (Jan. 29–Feb. 2) from 7-9 a.m. ET. The program will begin exclusively on NBC Sports Radio each morning at 6 a.m. ET.

NHL LIVE: NHL Live, NBC Sports Group’s pre- and post-game studio show, will originate live from Nicollet Mall in Minneapolis from Tuesday to Friday (Jan. 30-Feb.2), prior to NHL coverage on NBCSN. Hosts Liam McHugh and Kathryn Tappen will anchor NBCSN’s NHL Live coverage throughout the week, alongside former players and analysts Keith Jones and Jeremy Roenick, and Mike Milbury.

NBCSN will feature four NHL telecasts during the week prior to Super Bowl LII, capped by a matchup between the Vegas Golden Knights and Minnesota Wild from Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, Minn., on Friday, Feb. 2, at 8 p.m. ET.

MORNING DRIVE: Golf Channel’s daily news and lifestyle show will feature former NFL linebacker and current CNBC host Dhani Jones as a contributor from Minneapolis during Super Bowl week. Jones will conduct live reports on Morning Drive focused on the latest storylines in anticipation of Super Bowl LII. Morning Drive next week will air live from 7-9 a.m. ET on Monday-Wednesday, and from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. Thursday-Sunday.

NBC SPORTS RADIO: NBC Sports Radio travels to Minneapolis to provide insight and analysis throughout the week leading up to Super Bowl LII. Programs hitting the road include PFT Live with Mike Florio and Chris Simms, The Dan Patrick Show, Voices of the Game with Newy Scruggs, The Chris Mannix Show, Going Deep with Amani and Dan, The Safety Blitz with Rodney Harrison & Dan Schwartzman, The Leisuremen, and Under Center with Mark Malone. Coverage begins Sunday, Jan. 28, with The Leisuremen live from “Radio Row” at 5 p.m. ET.

Most NBC Sports Radio programs will air on-site at “Radio Row,” from the NFL Experience inside Mall of America in Minneapolis, and feature interviews with current and former players and coaches, and industry insiders.
