Laura Ingraham responded Monday to claims that she and others on the "hard right" helped scuttle a bipartisan deal on DACA recipients.
In an MSNBC segment, reporter Kasie Hunt said some in Congress were being "terrorized" by right-wing news outlets and by "The Ingraham Angle" host herself.
Fox News reports Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) even claimed that President Trump was about to sign onto the deal proposed by Sens. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) and Dick Durbin (D-Ill.) until "the hard right came after him."
"Laura Ingraham even insisted he be impeached," said Schumer on Saturday.
Ingraham called the claim a "flat-out lie" by Schumer and laughed at the notion that she was "terrorizing" members of Congress.
She asked why reporters like Hunt never mention criminal illegal immigrants, like MS-13 gang members, who actually do "terrorize" Americans.
Ingraham's comments start at the 17:38 Time Mark...
Ingraham said she only pointed out in recent weeks that the "president's enemies want him to be impeached" and that his base will "revolt" in November if his immigration promises are not kept.
"If we lose the House and Senate, who will be left to defend the president?" she asked on Jan. 10.
She said Schumer should accept her invitation to come on the show and defend his positions.
