“Back tomorrow at 3 p.m.,” he tweeted Monday. “I did not want to leave mornings. Short-term deal. They wanted longer. I said, no [bleeping] way. We do a great show.”
The NY Post reports Jim Norton, who’s been co-hosting with Hughes since Anthony Cumia was fired over racist tweets in 2014, will take the morning slot with Sam Roberts.
“I was blindsided,” Hughes tells us. “No one told me this was going down until last week . . . That’s why I am so mad.”
Hughes confirms he took a pay cut, but insists he is still “the third-highest paid” at the network.
