There’s a new leader in New York City as Nielsen releases
the first batch of July PPMs (6/19 thru 7/16).
CBS Radio’s WCBS
101.1 FM rose to the top as CCM+E’s AC WLTW 106.7 FM faltered a bit. Classic Hits WCBS-FM had a mere uptick 6.3—6.4 (6+ AQH), but that’s
all it needed as WLTW dropped 7.2—6.2 and fell to 2nd place. But there’s more good news for WCBS-FM as it jumped two positions 25-54 and now comes in at #3.
Emmis Urban AC WBLS 107.5 FM remained at #3 with a 5.6—5.5
wobble, but this month WBLS is tied with CCM+E’s WHTZ 1003.5 FM which spiked
5.2—5.5. SBS Tropical WSKQ 97.9 FM Mega
lost a full share 5.5—4.5, good for fourth-place and CCM+E Classic Rock WAXQ
104.3 FM was up a bit 4.3—4.5 to claim the #5 spot.
25-54: WLTW…WHTZ..WCBS-FM…WBLS…WSKQ
18-34: WHTZ…WSKQ…WQHT…WWPR…WLTW
18-49: WHTZ…WSKQ…WLTW…WKTU…WQHT
tied WCBS-FM (up from #9 in June)
Cume: WLTW-FM 4,761,700…WHTZ-FM
4,599,600…WKTU-FM 4,349,800…WCBS-FM 3,663,800…WBMP-FM 3,336,600
Noteworthy: CBS Radio’s Top40 WBMP 92.3 FM had a terrific month
moving 2.4—3.1 (#13 6+) with a nice increase in Cume of 587,400 from 2,749,200 to 3,336,600..Also, PD Brian Thomas is having a positive influence at Cumulus Media country WNSH 94.7 FM Nash-FM, which trends 1.9-2.0-2.2 during the previous three months.. Not only is it the station’s highest total audience share since launching in January 2013, it’s the first time Nash has had back-to-back months in the two-share range in a year.
