NYC Radio: Dr. Joy Browne Added To WNYM Line-Up

Salem Communications/New York has announced  that longtime radio personality Dr. Joy Browne is being added to the line-up of its WNYM 970 AM / The Answer (50Kw, 5Kw nights).

She starts August 12.

Her Radio America show will air overnights 1am to 4am.  Browne hosted at crosstown WOR 710 AM  for several years; she is the fourth former WOR host to join the WNYM lineup.

WNYM VP/GM Gerry Crowley, himself a WOR alumus stated, "Joy is a consummate radio pro.  Her show was consistently one of the most talked about shows on WOR.  Her voice was prematurely silenced across the street and it is my pleasure to allow her many fans to find her again."

Browne said, "I am beyond thrilled to be back on the air in New York and working with John Gambling and Jerry Crowley and Lou Dobbs again makes it feel like coming home.  We have been besieged by listeners who wanted to know where I went and how to find me,  and now they will know."

Her radio program, the longest running of its kind, it has been heard on the WOR for nearly 15 years, and her show offers millions of devoted listeners advice on issues ranging from relationships and marriage, finance, work and career.
