Eastlan Ratings has added radio industry veterans Jay Kelly and Tommy Ehrman to its client training and support team as it prepares to expand into additional markets through 2027.
The hires will bolster support for clients as the company grows its audience-measurement services. Eastlan said it expects to announce more staff additions and new markets in the coming weeks.
Kelly brings decades of broadcast and digital media experience, including work as a major-market radio drive-time personality and program director in Seattle, Minneapolis, Salt Lake City and Kansas City. He is also a nationally recognized consultant and has experience with Wet Fish Digital, which Eastlan says will help radio sales teams develop strategies for selling digital services and competing in a broader media marketplace.
Ehrman’s background includes small- and medium-market radio operations and sales. He began in broadcasting as a part-time janitor at a Modesto, California, station and later spent 18 years with Citadel, primarily in sales and sales management. He also has expertise in developing radio advertising schedules.
Eastlan President Mike Gould said the company aims to provide direct, responsive client support, contrasting that approach with automated phone systems, chatbots and offshore support operations used by other ratings providers. “When our clients need assistance, they need it now,” Gould said.
