Former “The Bert Show” hosts Bert Weiss and Kristin Klingshirn are moving into podcasting, launching separate programs through digital media company Pionaire. Weiss’s travel show, “Trip Happens with Bert Weiss and Amanda Weiss,” debuted Oct. 29, while Klingshirn’s daily talk show, “Barely Functioning with Kristin Klingshirn,” is set to launch Monday, Nov. 2.
The podcasts will be available on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, YouTube and other major platforms. Weiss’s show, co-hosted with his wife, photographer Amanda Weiss, aims to make travel more approachable. Klingshirn’s program will cover viral topics and personal stories; Weiss is scheduled to appear on its first episode.
Weiss launched “The Bert Show” in 2001 and retired in October 2025. Klingshirn joined the program in 2011 and later hosted “The Kristin Show” on Q99.7, which ended after she left Cumulus Media in August. Weiss is Pionaire’s CEO and president.
