Community Marketing Revolution Rebrands as Community Revenue

As an ever-growing supply of content puts pressure on traditional media revenue models, Community Marketing Revolution has rebranded as Community Revenue, reflecting a shift in focus from using community as a marketing tactic to helping media companies and content creators build businesses powered by community itself.

The rebrand comes as broadcasters, publishers, podcasters, and independent creators face increasing competition for a limited amount of audience attention. With advertising, subscriptions, and other traditional revenue streams under pressure, even building a large, loyal audience no longer guarantees a sustainable business.

"For years, the media industry has focused on building bigger audiences. But a bigger audience doesn't necessarily mean a more sustainable business," said founder Seth Resler, a longtime broadcasting and digital marketing professional. "Media companies and content creators need revenue streams that don't rely solely on content."

Rather than using community to drive more content consumption, Community Revenue helps media organizations and creators develop new income streams through memberships, events, educational programs, and other experiences that bring people together.

"Community is much more than a marketing tactic. It's a business model in its own right," said Resler. "Instead of trying to plug community into an existing revenue model, what if bringing people together provided an entirely new revenue stream?"

The company's new tagline, "Build a business powered by belonging," reflects its focus on helping organizations generate revenue by creating spaces where people connect, participate, and create value for one another.
