Radio Personality Deliah To Be Honored During NAB Show

Syndicated radio personality Deliah, is set to receive the fourth annual Insight Award from the Library of American Broadcasting Foundation (LABF) during the NAB Show Welcome on April 7, 2025, in Las Vegas, Nevada. 

The prestigious award recognizes her remarkable five-decade career in broadcasting and her profound influence on audiences across the United States. Known for her soothing voice, heartfelt storytelling, and ability to connect with listeners, Delilah hosts a nationally syndicated radio show through Premiere Networks, reaching over eight million weekly listeners on approximately 160 stations, making her the most-listened-to woman on American radio.

The Insight Award, presented by the LABF, honors individuals or organizations whose artistic or journalistic work significantly enhances public understanding of the media’s role, operation, history, or impact in society. Delilah joins an esteemed group of past recipients, including actor and educator LeVar Burton, CBS News’ 60 Minutes, and journalist Soledad O’Brien. Her unique format, which blends personal stories, song dedications, and empathetic advice, has resonated with listeners since she began hosting her current show in 1984, earning her a reputation as a trailblazer in the industry.

Delilah’s contributions extend beyond her on-air presence. She has been celebrated with numerous accolades, including induction into the National Radio Hall of Fame in 2016 and the NAB Broadcasting Hall of Fame in 2017—the first woman to receive the latter honor in 35 years. She also won the NAB Marconi Award for Network/Syndicated Personality of the Year in 2016 and has been consistently recognized by Radio Ink as one of the Most Influential Women in Radio. In 2023, she received the inaugural Gracies Icon Award from the Alliance for Women in Media.
