Longtime former news anchor and radio personality Sue Wylie has died following a car accident Tuesday night in Lexington. Lexington police say they responded to a crash around 5 p.m involving five cars. Police say three people were transported to the hospital with minor injuries. The Fayette Co. Coroner says Wylie was taken to UK Medical Center, where she later died. Wylie was the first female anchor at WLEX in Lexington.

Wylie was inducted into the Kentucky Journalism Hall of Fame in 1999. In 2017, the Ohio Valley chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences inducted her into its Silver Circle which recognizes those with distinguished service in the television industry for 25 years or more.
