Denver Radio: Longtime KBCO PD Scott Arbough Retiring

iHeartMedia Denver’s 97.3 KBCO, World Class Rock, announced today the retirement of Scott Arbough after 38 years at the station, most recently serving as Program Director. Scott Arbough’s last day will be March 31, 2023.

Scott Arbough has served as KBCO Program Director for the past 23 years. He joined the KBCO air staff in 1985 after serving as Music Director at KTCL in Ft. Collins, Colorado. Soon he became the KBCO Studio C Engineer and Producer of the hugely successful KBCO Studio C Charity CD series. He has produced 35 CDs, two vinyl albums and two vinyl singles of music recorded in KBCO Studio C that have raised money throughout his tenure to benefit local Denver / Boulder charities.

During his tenure, the station has earned national respect as a leader in the radio industry. KBCO has received numerous Colorado Broadcasters Association Awards of Excellence and has been nominated for 2 Marconi Awards for Station of the Year by the National Association of Broadcasters. KBCO has also received multiple nominations for the National Association of Broadcasters Crystal Award including the 2023 award for community service to be awarded this April. In December of 2018, KBCO was inducted into the Colorado Music Hall of Fame.
