Someone Needs To Tell CNN's Amanpour About 1A

Former Fox News and NBC host Megan Kelly on Tuesday ripped the suggestion that law enforcement should have done more to limit chants of “lock her up” during President Trump’s campaign rallies in 2016.

The phrase “lock her up” was coined by Trump during his campaign and was chanted by tens of thousands of rally attendees across the country.

“Should the fbi have “shut down” the chant “lock her up”?? NO,” Kelly wrote in a post on Twitter Tuesday, responding to CNN host Christiane Amanpour raising the idea with former FBI director James Comey.

Amanpour asked Comey Tuesday if he wished “people in charge of law and order had shut down that language,” even questioning whether the phrase constitutes “hate speech.”

Comey answered by saying “that’s not a role for government to play.”
