Cox Enterprises said Wednesday the majority of its employees will receive bonuses of up to $2,000 following the passage of tax reform.
Fox Business reports the Atlanta-based company, which owns the Cox cable provider among other businesses, announced that bonuses of $1,000 to $2,000 will be distributed on Tax Day (April 17) to employees who have worked at Cox Enterprises for at least a year and are not part of an executive incentive plan.
The move impacts most of the company’s nearly 60,000 employees.
The $1.5 trillion tax bill reduces the corporate tax rate from 35% to 21% and changes the way the U.S. government taxes companies that also operate internationally.
