The Fightins and Beasley Media Group Inc. announced Friday that they have reached a deal for Reading's 2018 games to be broadcast on 610 AM Sports.
Scott Hunsicker, the team's general manager, said the new partnership is a win-win for everyone, reports WFMZ-TV69.
"It's better for our fans, it's better for our radio advertising partners," he said. "It's exciting to know that Phillies fans throughout the tri-state area will be able to listen to Reading Fightins games this season."
"610 AM Sports is a legacy radio station, and a powerful radio station," Hunsicker said. "I grew up listening to 610 AM Sports. The Reading Fightin Phils are proud to be considered a legacy Double-A franchise. When the opportunity presented itself for the Reading Fightins to partner with 610 AM Sports, it really was a no-brainer."
610 AM Sports, an ESPN Radio affiliate, is already home to "The Bull Season" with former Philadelphia Phillies left-fielder and Reading hall of famer Greg Luzinski, Villanova University football and men's basketball, and the Delaware 87ers.
