Atlanta radio veteran Chris Williams has joined Clear
Channel Cincinnati as OM of the company's cluster. Williams will serve as PD of
long-standing Rock station WEBN. Williams also remains Clear Channel's National
Brand Coordinator for Active Rock Formats as well as the Active Rock Premium
Choice PD. Williams most recently programmed Clear Channel Active Rocker
WKLS/Atlanta until it flipped to Top 40.
"Chris was chosen for his programming skills and
knowledge so that he can continue to evolve 102.7 WEBN as an iconic entertainment
brand," stated Chuck Fredrick, President/Market Manager, CCM+E Cincinnati.
"Clear Channel Cincinnati is an amazing cluster,"
added Williams. "Among its top-rated stations is WEBN, a landmark rock
station with a rich history. It is a privilege to have this opportunity to

generation of rock fans."

- CBS Sports Radio signs Scott Ferrall, who will host Ferrall on the Bench weeknights from 10pm-2am, starting January 2, 2013.
- CC/Tulsa moves Corbin Pierce & Biggie Shay from rhythmic KTBT to sister-station rock KMOD. The duo replace long-time morning hosts Phil Stone and Brent Douglas, who couldn’t reach new contract deal. The new show starts 10/22.
- Spokane market fixture Victoria Frederick has exited as PD of Clear Channel Classic Rock KKZX as her position is eliminated.
- Cox Media's WDBO/Orlando announced that due to strong evening ratings, The Clark Howard Show is returning to daytime 1-3pm, starting Oct. 12.
- Jim Bosh to WXXK and WKKN Keene, NH. Bosh most recently was Country WWYZ/HARTFORD. The veteran Bosh will also be PD. Co-host is Amy Beaulieu.
- One of Cumulus Media’s co-founders is out in San Francisco. Market manager Bill Bungeroth has exited. No successor has been announced for the six-station operation.
Well, since Vicki fredericks has exited radio station kkzx, the programing just so totally sux!!!! including coast to coast am program on sister station kqnt.
ReplyDeletesooo ... if a person isn't listening to said stations, they will not hear commercials, & therefore not be swayed to buy said advertised products.
oh well, missed opportunities, I guess.
