Inside Edition Names New Anchor

The new anchor for Inside Edition is Eva Pilgrim, who succeeds Deborah Norville after her 30-year tenure.

Eva Pilgrim
Pilgrim, a veteran broadcast journalist, previously co-anchored GMA3: What You Need to Know at ABC News, where she worked since 2016 as a correspondent and anchor. She will take over the anchor chair in fall 2025 as Inside Edition enters its 38th season, becoming only the fourth anchor in the show’s history, following Norville, Bill O’Reilly, and David Frost.

Pilgrim brings extensive experience covering major events, including the 2020 presidential election, the Alex Murdaugh trial, and various natural disasters. Her background also includes reporting for local stations in West Virginia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Indiana, and Pennsylvania. Executive Producer Charles Lachman praised her “solid news chops” and “warm relatability,” noting her ability to connect with audiences.

Pilgrim expressed excitement about the role, calling it a “dream job” and an honor to join a show with a “long, rich history.” Inside Edition reaches nearly 10 million weekly viewers and is known for its mix of investigative journalism, entertainment, true crime, and lifestyle segments.
