In Japan, 12.1 million viewers watched on average despite 9 a.m. start times, with Game 1 (14.4 million) and Game 2 (15.9 million) setting records as the country’s most-watched MLB postseason games. Global viewership, including Canada, Mexico, the Dominican Republic, Taiwan, and the MLB app, exceeded 30 million, with some countries still reporting.
The Dodgers clinched their eighth World Series title with a 7-6 win in Game 5 on Wednesday night.
