A private jet owned by Vince Neil, Mötley Crüe’s lead singer, crashed into another plane on the runway at Scottsdale Airport in Arizona on Monday afternoon, killing at least one person, officials reported.
The incident occurred just before 3 p.m. when Neil’s Learjet 35A, registered under his business Chromed in Hollywood, veered off the runway after landing, according to the Federal Aviation Administration. The jet then struck a parked Gulfstream 200.
Four people were aboard the Learjet, which had flown in from Austin, while one person was on the Gulfstream. Neil was not on the plane, but his girlfriend, Rain Andreani, and her friend were passengers, sources told TMZ. Both women survived and were hospitalized, with Andreani sustaining five broken ribs. Dogs traveling with them also survived. The two pilots on Neil’s jet were also onboard, and one of them died in the crash, according to Bret Michaels, Neil’s friend and Poison frontman.
