Greenville-Spartanburg Radio: Audacy Partners with The Salvation Army

Audacy Greenville-Spartanburg, part of the leading multi-platform audio content and entertainment company Audacy, has joined forces with The Salvation Army to provide crucial support for survivors of Hurricane Helene. The devastating storm has left thousands displaced and needing immediate assistance across many North and South Carolina regions.

Audacy's family of radio stations in South Carolina has initiated a fundraising media campaign across many of its local markets, including 98.9 WORD (WYRD-FM), B93.7 (WFBC-FM/WFBC-HD1), 93.3 Planet Rocks (WTPT-FM/WTPT-HD1), Classic Rock 101.1 (WROQ-FM), 96.3 The Block (WFBC-HD2), and The Fan Upstate (WORD-AM). 100% of all disaster-designated donations will go directly toward recovery efforts in affected communities.

Audacy is proud to raise much-needed funds to deliver services and relief to those affected. The Salvation Army's disaster-trained personnel have been on the ground since the hurricane made landfall, providing hot and shelf-table meals, clean water, hygiene kits, emotional and spiritual care, and other essential supplies. Nationally, The Salvation Army has served over 300,000 hot meals, more than170,000 hydration drinks, and over 35,000 shelf-stable meal kits. In addition, The Salvation Army has distributed hundreds of cleanup kits and supplies to impacted households.

The Salvation Army is significantly ramping up its relief efforts across the Carolinas, with a particular focus on the hardest-hit areas in remote locations. As many of these isolated communities are only now becoming reachable, The Salvation Army's targeted response is crucial.
