Orlando Radio: CMG Goes Bilingual With Hits 96.5 FM


Cox Media Group / Orlando has relaunched  WOEX as Hit 96.5 FM.  The station is targeting Spanish listeners in Central Florida to who may have grown-up hearing English songs, but prefer the content delivered by  Spanish speaking personalities.  The music will be English AC pop hits from the '80s, '90s, and '00s,

JC Campese, VP/Market Manager for CMG Radio Orlando, emphasized their commitment to serving the entire community, reflecting the region’s growing and diverse population1. The station’s lineup includes popular artists like Ed Sheeran, Whitney Houston, Adele, Michael Jackson, Shakira, and Adam Levine.

"As Central Florida continues to grow, our community has asked for a station like Hits 96.5, and we're proud to deliver this exciting new brand on the largest broadcast signal in the Orlando market."

"We're thrilled to bring Hispanics in Orlando the music they grew up with from the 80s, 90s and today, but with on-air personalities speaking to them in Spanish," added Director of Branding and Programming Raymond Hernandez. "We want to break out of the usual Latin formats and deliver music and content in the way Hispanics are accustomed to in their countries of origin."

The station's lineup will include: Epi (6-10am ET), Liliani (10am-2pm), Luis Angel (2-7pm) and Martica (7-12pm).
