FOX Sports Radio (FSR), a division of Premiere Sports Network providing 24/7 live programming, today announced the addition of sports multimedia personality Jason Fitz to FOX Sports Radio’s lineup as co-host of the network’s long-running Saturday morning program, The Fellas, along with current host Anthony Gargano.
Airing in the 5 – 9 a.m. ET/2 – 6 a.m. PT timeslot, The Fellas with Anthony Gargano and Jason Fitz will debut Saturday, September 9. The program currently airs on more than 400 stations nationwide, in addition to FOX Sports Radio’s channel on iHeartRadio, which is available via iHeartRadio.com and the iHeartRadio app. Each weekend, the duo will bring listeners their entertaining and opinionated commentary on the weekend in sports.
Fitz, who also recently joined Yahoo Sports in a multiplatform role, is the final addition to FSR’s industry-leading 2023 weekend football lineup featuring a diverse ensemble of sports entertainment personalities, former players and analysts dedicated to providing around-the-clock game-day coverage.
Announced earlier this week, FSR added 12-year NFL Tight End and two-time Pro Bowler Kyle Rudolph to the network’s lineup as co-host of FOX Football Sunday with FSR weekend personality Mark Willard. The program kicks off September 10 in the 8 – 11 p.m. ET/5 – 8 p.m. PT timeslot. Plus, FSR launched the women-led FOX Sports Saturday with Alex Curry and Monse Bolaños last weekend in the 4 – 6 p.m. ET/1 – 3 p.m. PT timeslot.
“There is nothing like the incredible relationships you build with listeners when you get to be part of a sports talk radio family,” said Fitz. “To have the opportunity to continue building those relationships means everything to me, and to do it at FOX Sports Radio is truly a dream come true.”
“Jason’s addition is such a wonderful fit with the FOX Sports Radio team,” said Don Martin, Executive Vice President of Programming for iHeartMedia Sports, and Scott Shapiro, Senior Vice President of Programming for FOX Sports Radio, in a joint statement. “Anthony and Jason will host such an electric show together, getting fans jazzed up for each weekend. This lineup has never been stronger or deeper – it’s everything stations need to deliver the most entertaining and engaging football coverage every weekend.”
