Remote News Service is proud to announce it has added thirteen new affiliates: Alpha Media’s KTSA - San Antonio; Forcht Broadcasting’s WSIP/WKLW/WKYH, Paintsville, KY and WAIN-FM, WCKQ-FM, WGRK-FM, WTCO-FM, Campbellsville, KY; and Basin Mediactive’s KAGO-FM, KLAD-FM, KFXX-FM, YSF-FM, and KHIC–FM, Klamath Falls, OR. Lesley Lotto, President and Lead Anchor of Remote News Service notes increased station need for fill-in news service, most notably with a quick turnaround.
"Remote News Service bailed me out while I was between News Anchors,” states Rob Siems, General Manager for Basin Mediactive’s Klamath Falls, OR cluster. “They did a fantastic job, stepping in and sounding local from day one of the month-long fill-in. Now that I know they can step in at a moment's notice, I plan to utilize their services when illness or vacation happens."
“We’ve always provided fill-in News Anchors for vacations, illness, sudden departures, etc.,” Lotto explains. “Across the industry there’s been an increase in fill-in requests, especially from stations that need someone on the air in 6 to 12 hours, which we are able to provide.”
"Working with Lesley and her team at Remote News Service has been a huge help to fill the gaps for vacation relief and while recruiting new team members. It's high quality, on-time, and consistent,” adds Greg Martin, Operations Director, KTSA.
Remote News Service provides a combination of Local, Regional, State, and National News to radio stations across the U.S., including in-depth and breaking news coverage, plus local traffic.
Adam Preece, Program Director for Forcht Broadcasting’s Paintsville, KY cluster, states, "The Remote News Service team made the transition very smooth for us. It has allowed us more time to focus on our shows, programming, and day-to-day tasks knowing that our local newscasts are in good hands."
