St. Louis Radio: John Ulett Stepping Away From KSHE Mornings

John Ulett is stepping away from his morning show duties after 46 years on-air at KSHE-95. Ulett began his career in 1976 and is the station’s longest continuously broadcasting on-air talent. He made the announcement Monday morning.

“He’s not going anywhere. He’ll be a recurring part of the show, he’ll be out with us at live events, he’ll continue the KSHE Klassics show and Vinyl Exam with Mark Klose, and he’ll fill in for me when I’m away. The door will always be open to him. He just won’t have to wake up so early anymore,” writes A.D. Rowntree on Facebook.

KSHE 95 host Favazz posted this Facebook status update, “Congrats on your semi-retirement, U-Man.”

The broadcaster was named to the St. Louis Hall of Fame, he received the Riverfront Times’ Lifetime Achievement Award, he has received multiple awards from the Missouri Broadcasters Association, and he is on the Bishop DuBourg Wall of Fame.
