NielsenIQ Headquarters In Chicago

NielsenIQ, formerly known as Nielsen Global Connect that was sold by Nielsen Holdings in November for $2.7 billion, has started as a standalone company in Chicago, reports The Business Journal.

The New York City-based marketing, research and ratings giant sold Global Connect/NielsenIQ, its global consumer unit, to private equity investor Advent International and James "Jim" Peck, former CEO of Chicago-based TransUnion.

NielsenIQ has its global headquarters at 200 West Jackson Boulevard in Chicago, where the company already employs 600 people. The global consumer business division has about 30,000 employees in nearly 100 countries around the world. Nielsen granted NielsenIQ a 20-year license to use the "Nielsen" name. Nielsen Holdings will remain a public company in New York.

“NielsenIQ has a unique opportunity to become a nimble partner with the flexibility to increase strategic investments and innovation in the future. Our independence underscores our commitment to a turnaround plan that will enable us to better support our customers and partners, and deliver maximum value while adapting to changing market and customer dynamics," Peck said in a statement.
