NYC Radio: 77WABC Beefs-Up Weekend Programming

Talkradio 77 WABC and Red Apple Media have announced additional programs to its line-up, including Judge Jeanine Pirro and former New York City Police Commissioner Bernard Kerik. In addition, radio talk show host Walter Sterling has joined the impressive weekend lineup. All three shows will be simulcast on WLIR-FM 107.9, Hampton Bays, NY.

The new programs air as follows:
  • The Jeanine Pirro Show airs Sundays, 11 am to 12 noon and launched this past Sunday.
  • Bernie Kerik, Behind The Badge will debut this Saturday, July 26, from 2 to 3 pm.
  • The Walter Sterling Show, which launched two weeks ago on WABC, airs Saturdays, 9 to 10 pm.
“New Yorkers want compelling content throughout the weekend, and that’s what we’re going to deliver,” said David LaBrozzi, Senior Vice President of Programming for WABC. “Jeanine and Bernie are well-known to our audience and perceived as champions for New York. Walter’s syndicated show has done well in other markets, and I'm delighted that he is doing a LOCAL New York show exclusively for WABC.”

Chad Lopez, President of Red Apple Media and WABC, commented, “I’m grateful to John Catsimatidis, CEO of Red Apple Media, whose vision is allowing us to bring stellar hosts to our lineup.”

Jeanine Pirro is a well-known American television host, author, and former New York State judge, prosecutor, and politician. She is the host of Fox News Channel's Justice with Judge Jeanine and a frequent contributor to NBC News, including regular appearances on The Today Show. Pirro was the first female judge elected in Westchester County, New York.

Bernard Kerik is best known for his 1998–2000 tenure as Commissioner of the New York City Department of Correction and his 2000–2001 tenure as New York City Police Commissioner, during which he oversaw the police response to the September 11 attacks. Bernie Kerik, Behind the Badge will be produced in conjunction with Lapcom Communications.
