The Country Radio Broadcasters have named Anthony Donatelli (On-Air Talent/Digital Content Creator, KFRG/Riverside, CA), Dan Weir (Program Director/Afternoon Personality, KFGY/Sonoma County, CA), and Nichole Breau (Promotions Manager, WCTY/Norwich, CT) as recipients of the 2020 Rusty Walker Scholarship.
The three individuals, all full-time radio station employees and first-time CRS attendees will receive an all-expenses-paid trip totaling three nights, have the opportunity to network with CRS board members, and will be recognized during opening ceremonies at CRS 2020.
The Rusty Walker Scholarship Program honors former CRS board member, Rusty Walker. Walker was a Country Radio Hall of Fame inductee, an influential programmer, and consultant, and mentor in the music industry. After his shocking passing in 2012, the scholarship program was developed to continue his legacy of supporting bright, young minds in the business.
CRB/CRS President of the Board, Kurt Johnson, comments, “The CRB Board and Staff are proud to pay it forward through this annual scholarship. These winners personify the qualities Rusty Walker championed: Love for entertaining the audience, constant innovation, and strong determination to succeed. Congratulations to all three!”
