Hartford Radio: Sports WUCS Adds Bob Joyce

iHeartMedia announced Monday that Bob Joyce has been named Executive Producer of UConn Athletics content for WUCS 97.9 ESPN Hartford.

As Executive Producer, Joyce will be the radio voice for Women’s Basketball and Men’s Hockey, and will do play-by-play and work closely with “The Rob Dibble Show.” He will report to Ben Darnell, Program Director for Sports and Talk properties for iHeartMedia Connecticut.

“We are excited to have Bob Joyce on our team,” said Steve Honeycomb, President of iHeartMedia’s Hartford Region. “Bob brings continuity and a high-quality professionalism to our UConn content. He is well known in the market and with UConn fans, and we are confident he will bring UConn sports broadcasting to new levels.”

Joyce has served as a sportscaster in the region for nearly three decades. He holds several positions with the UConn IMG Sports Network, serving as pregame, halftime and postgame host for UConn Football since 2005 and as the full-time voice of the UConn Women’s Basketball Team since 2006.
