Entercom Stations Collect 17 AP News Awards

Entercom stations has been honored with 17 2017 New York State Associated Press Association awards. The organization’s annual newspaper and broadcast contest honors important journalism.

Forty-six radio and television stations submitted more than 524 entries in the annual awards. News stations WCBS 880 AM), 1010 WINS AM) in New York and WBEN 930 AM in Buffalo collectively received first place in eight categories.

WCBS has been broadcasting since 1924 and has been an All-News station since 1967. The station celebrated its 50th anniversary as an All-News station in 2017.

1010 WINS is New York’s #1 News radio station. More people get their news from 1010 WINS than any other station in the nation.

WBEN, the Voice of News in Buffalo, first hit the airwaves in 1930.
