Cincy Radio: WDJO Adds Two FM Signals

Mustang Media Oldies WDJO 1480 AM in Cincinnati has announced the addition of to trnaslators to boost coverage.

The new translators are W258CI at 99.5FM and W300CI at 107.9FM.  The station has also added Mark Elliott to consult on programming and music issues.

W358CI 99.5 FM (150 watts)
W300CI 107.9 FM (150 watts)

“As WDJO moves to cover Cincinnati with our new FM frequencies, we wanted a market veteran to help target the music and programming,” said Gary Stephens, WDJO General Manager. “Mark’s the perfect fit to take us to the next level.”

“Market veteran?  Does that mean I’m old?” Mark replied.  “WDJO is an anomaly - a radio station independently owned and locally operated and programmed. And they want to do it right, with a limited commercial inventory, great local personalities and lots of upbeat music from the past 50 years.   Radio has been abandoning ‘baby boomer’ listeners, but the success of stations like MeTV FM in Chicago shows us that there is more than one way to entertain.  I’m looking forward to playing radio again in Cincinnati."
