VA Beach Radio: "Coop" Joining Morning Show On 97.3 The Eagle

Sean 'Coop' Tabler
WGH 97.3 FM The Eagle has announced market legend Karen West will be joined by Virginia Beach native and 15 year radio veteran, Sean “Coop” Tabler; creating the “Karen and Coop” morning show.

Max Media promises an upbeat, local, topical morning show that focuses on engaging the locals of Hampton Roads while playing the best of today’s country music.

“I’m SO glad to be home in Hampton Roads, and beyond excited to be joining the station that I grew up listening to!” says Coop. Karen’s response? “Get off my lawn you punk!! But seriously, I’m so excited to be working with someone who has listened to the Eagle for as long as I’ve worked here. I can’t wait to start on the new adventure with my new ‘old’ friend!”

Program Director Mark McKay adds: “this is gonna be a dream come true—nobody will be able to doubt that the voices coming out of the speakers belong to people who were born & bred in Hampton Roads!”

Coop comes most recently from CBS Top 40 WDZH-FM/Detroit, after stops in Pittsburgh and Seattle, among others. He also currently hosts United Stations Radio Network’s syndicated weekend show, “Red Cup Country,” which he will continue while co-hosting on mornings here in Virginia Beach.
