France WXForecaster Fired Over Global Warming Book

Philippe Verdier
France’s top weatherman has been suspended from his job for questioning the cult of global warming, according to Brietbart News.

Philippe Verdier, a household name for his nightly weather reports on the France 2 channel, has just published a book in which he argues that the climate change industry is a “war machine whose aim to keep us in fear.”

This went down very badly with his employer which is funded by the French government and is ideologically committed to promoting the global warming scare narrative in the run up to the UN’s COP21 climate conference in Paris this December.

“I don’t think management liked it, let’s be honest,” said Verdier, who received a letter on Monday telling him not to turn up to work.

In a video to promote his book Climat Investigation (Climate Investigation), Verdier said:
Every night, I present myself to five million French people to talk about the wind, the clouds, the sun. And yet, there are some things of importance, of great importance, that I haven’t been able to tell you, because it is neither the time nor the place.
We are hostage to the planetary scandal of global warming — a war-machine designed to keep us afraid. At its heart, it’s a science manipulated and politicized, of conflict of interest, of corruption, of sexual scandal, then the politics, which serves nothing but their image and their thirst for power.
Verdier was inspired to write his book out of disgust at the actions of his foreign minister Laurent Fabius, who last year summoned France’s weathermen and asked them to mention “climate chaos” in their forecasts.
