During a newscast Thursday, Dave Benton said to viewers of WCIA-TV in Champaign that medics lately said to him that his brain tumor is as well large for surgery or radiation.
He states he'll try a new treatment to slow the tumor's expansion, but that his goal is to add "a handful more days and make them the finest they can be."
Benton's online biography states he has worked at the station for nine years.
