Cumulus Media announces the launch today of a new installment of its original multi-part audio series, Your Music Plus, featuring global superstar Ed Sheeran’s new single, “Azizam,” a rhythmic pop song about the universality of emotion. The exclusive audio series takes listeners behind the making of the single, out now on Atlantic Records, with exclusive audio of the singer/songwriter sharing insights into the genesis of his new era of music and the lightness reflected in his new songs. “Azizam” is the result of an in-studio collaboration between Sheeran and Swedish/Iranian producer Ilya Salmanzadeh (Ariana Grande, Charli XCX, Ellie Goulding, Sam Smith), and brings a pop context to Persian and Irish folk music influences. With a song title that comes from a Persian term of endearment meaning "my dear" or "my beloved,” the single’s exuberant call to action – to live the moment “in between the dancing lights” on the dance floor until the sun rises – urges listeners to return to joy, to light, to love, and to fun.
