“The IBA National Cash Contest is one of the strongest benefits of being an IBA member,” stated Ron Stone, President of IBA. “To be able to participate in a fully managed program like this, complete with Benztown imaging, with up to three $1,000 winners daily, cannot be beat for the minimal investment of $300 per station. No other national program even comes close.”
A major new feature of the contest is text-to-win technology! Stone says, “Our new digital partner, Envisionwise, has helped us develop a text-to-win opportunity that heretofore was not an option. This is a major step forward for the contest and keeps us in line with listener behaviors!”
This is the seventh National Cash Contest that IBA has orchestrated for its members. The first, in the Spring of 2021, had a $40,000 prize pool. Since then, the cash contest has taken place twice a year with $60,000 prize pools airing on more than 300 radio stations over a six-week period.
“Some stations have generated 30X the investment to participate,” according to Stone. “Stations are always looking for ways to generate more revenue, and the IBA National Cash Contests have given stations in markets of all sizes just that.”
Stations must be a member of the IBA to participate in the cash contest. New members may join and elect to participate in the contest by clicking “Join Now” at www.iba.media.
“We have made registration for the contest much easier,” explained Stone. When a new member joins the IBA, they simply click a box for participation in the contest which enrolls them in all future contests. Existing members simply need to ensure they have checked the box to participate in their profile by signing in at www.iba.media.”
The IBA fully produces the cash contest, including providing all graphics and imaging for the participating stations. Envisionwise will serve as an independent source for all random drawings and is making custom graphics available to participating stations desiring them. The full contest details will be released on August 15.
