Houston Radio: Sunny 99.1 Radiothon Raises $335K+

iHeartMedia Houston's fifth annual KODA SUNNY 99.1 St. Jude Radiothon raised over $335,000 to benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

On Thursday, December 9 and Friday, December 10, listeners were encouraged to support the lifesaving mission of St. Jude by becoming a Partner in Hope and donating $19 a month. In addition, on Monday, December 6 iHeartMedia Houston hosted the St. Jude Houston Golf Classic at the Golf Club of Houston. The event was led by Eddie Martiny, President of iHeartMedia Houston, and with the leadership of on-air personalities Michael Berry and Doug Pike. The St. Jude Houston Golf Classic raised over $356,000.

Since 2013, iHeartMedia Houston has raised over $3.6 million for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. “Fundraisers like ours help families to never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food,” said Marc Sherman, Senior Vice President of Programming for iHeartMedia Houston. “All a family should worry about is helping their child live. We are grateful for our donors, listeners and sponsors.”
