Report: Tony Bennett Reveals Alzheimer's Disease

Tony Bennett has Alzheimer’s disease, an AARP feature story revealed. Bennett, who is 94-years-old, was first diagnosed in 2016.

Alzheimer’s, a spectrum disorder, is the most common form of age-related dementia. More than five million Americans have Alzheimer’s.

“Although he can still recognize family members, he is, according to [his wife], not always sure where he is or what is happening around him,” the article said of the disease’s progression in Bennett’s brain. “Mundane objects as familiar as a fork or a set of house keys can be utterly mysterious to him.”
