Peoria Radio: Classic Hits WPBG Radiothon Raises $246K+

Alpha Media, Peoria, IL has announced WPBG 93.3 The Drive’s 18th Annual Drive for Miracles radiothon raised $246,450 for the OSF HealthCare Children’s Hospital of Illinois.

During the two-day radiothon earlier this month, John Riley and Nancy Flagg from “The Morning Drive with John and Nancy” broadcast live from the hospital lobby.

To date, the Drive for Miracles radiothon has raised more than $4 million dollars for the OSF HealthCare Children’s Hospital of Illinois. The OSF HealthCare Children’s Hospital of Illinois is a world-class, full-service pediatric hospital that never turns a child away, regardless of their ability to pay.

Alpha Media, Peoria SVP/Market Manager, Mike Wild commented on the announcement, “This has become a true labor of love for all of us. It’s a genuine passion that is wonderfully supported by our generous listeners and an outstanding philanthropic community!”

“In a world that focuses too much on bad news, here’s some good news. The health and well being of our children is still a top priority. Well done Central Illinois, and thank you,” remarked Riley.
