San Diego Radio: Shelly Says She's Dunn With Radio

Longtime San Diego radio personality Shelly Dunn has gone public with her decision to retire.

Retirement comes after more than 28-years as co-host of San Diego's popular Dave, Shelly & Chainsaw morning show.  Her final broadcast on KFMB 100.7 FM is scheduled for Friday, July 27.

The DSC show has been a part of the San Diego radio scene, including prior stops at KGB-FM and KIOZ (Rock 102). The show has been airing on 100.7 FM for the past six years and is nearing the end of its current contract.

Originally from Oklahoma City, Shelly was thrilled to work at Rock 100 (The KATT) doing morning radio for 3 years. She then made her way to San Diego with relatively short stints in Dallas and Phoenix. While in Phoenix, she met Cookie "Chainsaw" Randolph. Cookie brought her to San Diego to work on his morning show. Dave Rickards was brought out from Denver to lead the pack and the rest is San Diego radio history.

Meanwhile, Dave Rickards and Cookie ‘Chainsaw’ Randolph reportedly are still negotiating their future at KFMB-FM.
