L-A Radio: Clay Travis Signs New Deal With Fox Sports Radio

Fox Sports Radio and Premiere Networks announce Clay Travis has signed a new three-year deal.

Under the expanded deal, Travis will continue to anchor “Outkick The Coverage with Clay Travis” in morning drive. As part of the new deal, Travis gains an equity stake in the program, the host said in a blog post.

Travis' career has grown from local to regional to national in recent years, starting on Cumulus sports “104.5 The Zone” WGFX in Nashville  before switching to iHeartMedia’s  News/Talk WLAC 1510 AM.  Travis calls iHeart sports KLAC 570 AM Los Angeles his current radio flagship.

Premiere says the show has close to 300 station clearances, in addition to streaming on FoxSportsRadio.com and FSR’s channel on iHeartRadio.

Premiere signed Travis to FSR’s weekday lineup in September 2016. He came from the on-demand side of the business with his successful podcast of the same name, which has since been adjusted to “Outkick The Show.” The outspoken and often humorous host grew his year-over-year national audience 17.2% with Adults 25-54 and 17.6% with Men 25-54 in fall 2017. Live streaming is up 30% year-over-year, per Premiere.
