Philly Radio: WPEN's Mike Missanelli Launches TV Simulcast
Beasley Media Group and NBC Sports Philadelphia launch a simulcast of WPEN 97.5 FM The Fanatic's "The Mike Missanelli Show."
This marks the first time the radio program will be available to TV audiences.
"The Mike Missanelli Show" will air weekdays from 2-5pm on NBC Sports Philadelphia, NBCSportsPhiladelphia.com and on the NBC Sports app. Under the deal, NBC Sports Philadelphia will also feature show content across its TV, online, mobile and social media platforms.
"I'm extremely excited to be joining forces with NBC Sports Philadelphia," said Missanelli. "97.5 led the way in town to bring sports talk radio to the FM airwaves and now we are so looking forward to bringing it to television. The show will continue to provide the very best in sports analysis and fun, entertaining radio. I can't wait for everyone to become part of it."
Missanelli has served for the past 20 years as a sports/talk host in Philadelphia and New York.
He graduated from Penn State University, where he played varsity baseball and received a degree in journalism. The media veteran spent 15 years as a newspaper reporter (ten with The Philadelphia Inquirer), before branching off into positions in radio and television. He is a graduate of Widener University Law School and is a member of the Pennsylvania bar.
