ACM Awards: Bryan, Bentley OUT As Hosts

After two years, Luke Bryan and Dierks Bentley are out as hosts of the Academy of Country Music Awards.

Billboard reports Bentley broke the news in a seemingly off-handed comment during a Q&A session Monday afternoon at Country Radio Seminar in Nashville.

As a photo of Bentley and Bryan from the ACMs flashed on the screen, he said, "That's over... We got fired. Is that not common knowledge?" Bentley's manager confirmed the news.

Bentley replaced Bryan's former co-host, Blake Shelton, with whom Bryan had hosted the show since 2013. The 2018 ACMs will be held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on April. 15.

Bryan joins ABC's relaunch of American Idol on March 11.

The ACM confirmed that Bryan and Bentley will not return to the award show, adding this year's host information will be announced in 2-3 weeks.
