Reigning ACM and CMA Vocal Group of the Year Little Big Town is back in the studio, this time to host Westwood One’s Annual “Summer Kick Off” Memorial Day special. Westwood One's holiday music specials, with music’s biggest and brightest star hosts, have become a welcome tradition with hundreds of programmers, millions of listeners, and local advertisers.
The Grammy-award winning Little Big Town – made up of members Karen Fairchild, Kimberly Schlapman, Jimi Westbrook, and Phillip Sweet -- will host the four-hour Memorial Day weekend special broadcast, available to stations nationwide. The program will feature Luke Bryan, Kenny Chesney, Carrie Underwood, Florida Georgia Line, Keith Urban, and Kelsea Ballerini talking about favorite summer memories and activities.
The special will also showcase summertime songs from those artists, plus Jason Aldean, Dierks Bentley, Zac Brown Band, and more. In addition, Westwood One’s “Summer Kick Off with Little Big Town” will remember the men and women who died while serving in the U.S. Armed Forces.
Little Big Town recently kicked off the very first year-long artist residency, Little Big Town at the Mother Church. The residency is the only time an artist has headlined as many shows at Ryman Auditorium over the course of the year in the venue’s 125-year history.
Stations can air Westwood One’s Summer Kick Off with Little Big Town any time Saturday, May 27 through Monday, May 29, 2017, between 6:00 am and 12 midnight. For more information, contact Bryan Switzer at (615) 727-6987 or at bswitzer@westwoodone.com.
