Nashville Radio: The Game To Launch 'Jared & The GM'

Former Tennessee Titans General Manager Floyd Reese will team up with Jared Stillman for Jared and the GM, an afternoon drive time sports talk show that will debut Monday on WPRT ESPN 102.5 FM The Game.

Cromwell Communications announced the creation of the program Wednesday and said that Reese and Stillman each signed multi-year contracts.

“I’m really looking forward to our show.” Reese said in a press release. “Jared was born and raised in Nashville and has been following Nashville sports his whole life. He’s extremely passionate about sports and talk radio. As a sidelight, it’ll be a tremendous look at two generations: the baby boomers, the finest generation ever produced, as well as his millennials, who produced Pokémon Go.”

The show will air from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Monday to Friday and will replace Sports Night, which will air for the last time Friday. The final episode of Sports Night will take place at Barrel House at Bridgestone Arena and will be open to the public.

George Plaster, the longtime host of Sports Night, recently announced he would leave the radio industry to take a job with Belmont’s athletics department.

There was no word on plans for Willy Daunic, Plaster’s long-time Sports Night co-host. Reese joined Sports Night as a regular member of the panel in 2015.

Stillman has been the host of a morning drive time talk show on 102.5.

“We’ve taken great strides to give the city of Nashville the best sports product and have had a lot of fun doing it,” Stillman said. “We have an unbelievable team and I am absolutely thrilled to be working with Floyd Reese, who’s an amazing General Manager and a great host, but most importantly, an even better person.”
