It was a big Saturday night for Middle Tennessee resident
TobyMac and Nashville
by-way-of-Australia duo For King & Country as they and other Christian
music stars took home honors at the inaugural K-LOVE Fan Awards.
According to TheNashville Tennessean, Christian radio network K-LOVE held its fan-voted award
show at Nashville's Ryman Auditorium on Saturday, welcoming more than two dozen
performers – including Amy Grant, Michael W. Smith, Mandisa and more - onto the
Ryman stage.
TobyMac was named Artist of the Year, and also got to open
the evening with his hit "Me Without You." For King & Country
were given the breakthrough artist award.
The Winners Are:
- Male artist of the year: Chris Tomlin
- Female artist of the year: Kari Jobe
- Group of the year: Casting Crowns
- Breakthrough artist of the year: For King & Country
- Artist of the year: Tobymac
- Sports impact award: Mike Fisher
- Movie impact award: Courageous
- Book impact award: "The Love Dare" by Alex Kendrick & Stephen Kendrick
