Jayde Donovan Exits CC’s WXXL In Orlando

Clear Channel let a great talent getaway, but no one should be surprised in this era of cost-cutting. And also because CC has plenty of national, syndicated morning shows (with equally impressive talent) on its roster already.

Half of the Johnny & Jayde morning show on 106.7 FM WXXL has left the building in Maitland.  Her current deal ends in June and is not being extended.   Contract negotiations simply didn’t pan out. She and Clear Channel just couldn’t agree on terms that both sides liked.

After four years, Jayde is 'off to pursue her dreams', according to XL PD Michael Bryan.  Many believe TV is in Jayde’s future after a many appearance and terrific performance as Kelly Ripa's fill-in with Regis Philbin in January. She so impressed Regis he thanked Orlando for sending her to the fill-in spot.

Meanwhile, Bryan says the search is on for a ‘smart, edgy, witty, fun, pop culture beast.

Donovan has not announced her immediate plans, but reportedly is heading to the West Coast to check out some opportunities. For more on Jayde, click here.
