Rockcastle Media Networks Launches New Division, State Network

Rockcastle Media Networks expands its portfolio of world-class programming with the creation of its Rockcastle Regional Networks division and the launch of the Radio Nebraska Network.

“When we learned the Nebraska Radio Network folded, our thoughts turned to serving those affiliates and listeners with high-quality radio news,” said Rockcastle Media Networks President/CEO Will Sterrett. “We’re excited to offer four newscasts each weekday with much more to come down the road.”

Radio Nebraska Network delivers its first newscasts via FTP download Monday, February 4th. Like all other Rockcastle Media Networks programming, Radio Nebraska Network is available on a market-exclusive, 100% self-contained barter basis.

Before launching Rockcastle Media Networks, Will Sterrett enjoyed a prolific radio news career at the CNN Radio Network, WLW/Cincinnati, KTRH/Houston, Texas State Network, and KRLD/Dallas, where he was part of the team that won the 2013 National Edward R. Murrow Award for Best Newscast. He’s also the recipient of several regional Edward R. Murrow Awards and multiple Kansas Association of Broadcasters Awards for Best Newscast. Sterrett’s broadcast career includes KQKQ, plus the former KLTQ and Waitt Radio Networks, all in Omaha.

Rockcastle Media Networks is a national radio network providing programming to affiliate stations across the U.S. and Canada. The company’s ‘Partners First’ initiative ensures a focus on error-free program feeds and exceptional service to broadcasters and advertising partners.
