Journalist Quits CBC Over 'Woke Worldview'

Tara Henley
A veteran Canadian Broadcasting Corporation journalist has announced that she's quit the company due to 'woke' policies implemented by senior staffers that hindered her ability to do her job, reports The Daily Mail.

Tara Henley made the stunning claim in a strongly worded piece posted to the online writing platform Substack, a subscription-based service where authors can publish - and monetize - their work, for an audience that pays a monthly premium.

In her writeup, Henley -  who worked as a TV and radio producer and occasional on-air commentator for the broadcast giant - slammed CBC brass for what she called 'a radical political agenda that originated on Ivy League campuses in the United States.'

'To work at the CBC in the current climate is to embrace cognitive dissonance and to abandon journalistic integrity,' Henley sniped in the scathing column, criticizing the far-left ideology that she says has become commonplace at the media conglomerate in recent years.

'Those of us on the inside know just how swiftly - and how dramatically - the politics of the public broadcaster have shifted,' Henley noted, detailing a 'woke worldview'-obsessed newsroom hopelessly hindered by company-evoked policies.

Such policies, Henley alleges, limit critical thinking and forces employees to obsess over race.

'For months now, I’ve been getting complaints about the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation,' the peeved producer revealed in the hard-hitting write-up.

'People want to know why, for example, non-binary Filipinos concerned about a lack of LGBT terms in Tagalog is an editorial priority for the CBC, when local issues of broad concern go unreported.
