Mike Golic |
USAToday reports Golic will return to work as a college football analyst with the network. The 57-year-old held that role in his first 10 years at ESPN. Golic's contract was set to expire this year.
Golic is best known as the co-host of "Mike & Mike in the Morning" from 2000-17 alongside Mike Greenberg, who is returning to the radio airwaves for his own afternoon radio show while continuing his role hosting ESPN's "Get Up." Greenberg's new show was announced last week when Golic's move away from the morning slot was also announced as part of ESPN's new August programming lineup.
Golic's latest partner, Trey Wingo, will host a new program featuring former NFL star Keyshawn Johnson, NBA analyst Jay Williams and "SportsCenter” anchor Zubin Mehenti, weekdays from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. ET.
The "Golic and Wingo" show will run through July 31 after airing for almost three years in the post-Mike & Mike era.
Golic's son, Mike Golic Jr., will host an ESPN evening radio show with WNBA star Chiney Ogwumike.
